Tire Test Engineer
Position
The Tire Test Engineer is responsible for test preparation and execution on GCAPS electrohydraulic test equipment for tire characterization. This includes communicating with clients, creating test plans, creating procedures, and executing the agreed-upon test plan to ensure data quality, test efficiency, and meets the client’s needs.
Duties
- Test preparation and communications, both internal and external
- Support technician during customer setup and testing
- Lead and conduct testing on the test equipment and development projects
- Conduct equipment startup and shutdown using existing processes
- Create test procedures per customer requirements
- Update control parameter tuning for each test specimen
- Conduct and support equipment calibration
- Post-processing of test data
- Data quality review
- Support cleaning of equipment and components
Basic Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or another quantitative discipline
Preferred Educational Achievements and Experience
- Master’s degree in engineering or another quantitative discipline
- Mechanical aptitude
- Prior development experience with MATLAB and Simulink or other computational tools
- Background in testing and signal processing for at least one year in a professional role
- Problem-solving related to mechanical systems

Data Specialist
Position
The Data Specialist is required to efficiently execute tasks to advance data reduction and support simulation creation while also performing exhaustive technical research for various sponsored projects. Working remotely is available based on position and assignments.
Duties
- Utilize video and time-based data to perform scenario reconstruction to support mathematical modeling and simulation of scenario.
- Utilize 3D environment creation software to generate virtual 3D environments suitable for mathematical modeling, simulation, and simulation animation.
- Support R&D to develop process improvements for scenario reconstruction.
- Support Research Engineers in conducting and compiling research documentation for Literature Reviews, Technical Papers, etc.
Basic Education Requirements
- Basic Computer Skills-Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Basic 3D Modeling/Design knowledge (Blender, 3dS Max)
- Solid grasp of math, geometry, and spatial relationships
- Basic coding skills- Matlab, Python, C++ (if no coding experience, the applicant must be willing to learn)

Trades Technician I - Shop Tech
Job Functions & Responsibilities
- Must be able to follow instruction and be very aware of their safety and the safety of others
- Remove, mount, and balance tires
- Assist in cleaning the test cell in between tests
- Assist in removing test wheel and tire from test machine then mounting new test wheel and tire on
- Assist in routine maintenance of belt on test machine
- Assist in general housekeeping as directed
Qualifications & Education Requirements
- Experience with mounting and dismounting tires, will train if necessary
Preferred Skills
- Physically fit to change and balance tires
- Able to lift 100 pounds
