Ryan Confer

Ryan Confer is a Tire Test Engineer at the Global Center for Automotive Performance Simulation (GCAPS). His responsibilities include tire test preparation, execution, data analysis, and high-fidelity tire modeling. His work interfaces with projects relating to tire modeling, benchmarking, tire behavior, among others. Before joining GCAPS, Ryan spent 7 years in a variety of positions ranging from network operations, performance engineer and simulation engineer. During Ryan’s tenure as an assistant engineer for Action Express, the team won the 2018 IMSA Overall Sportscar Championship and the 2018 and 2019 Endurance Cup Championships. Ryan has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. While a student, Ryan was actively involved in the Formula SAE and Baja SAE teams. Ryan is a motorsports and winter sports enthusiast.
